I got my hair cut

I went to get my hair cut the other day with my mom. I wanted it to be shorter and I wanted the bangs to look like my Aunt Jaqui's. I wish my hair could be dark like Aunt Jaqui's too.  My hair is super light in some places because I've been playing and swimming a lot in the sun.
Here's me at the hair cutting place. She cut off a lot of hair.

I took this picture of my mom getting her hair cut.
This is what my hair looks like now. My mom and dad say that it's so cute! I really like it too.
It's almost the same as my mom's hair too.

My 6th Birthday!

My birthday was last week and now I'm 6! I had so much fun on my birthday. After going to swimming lessons and having cupcakes there, I got to go to the movies with Mom, Reagan, and some of my friends. We saw WALL-E. I thought it was so funny!

After the movie, we went to Red Robin for dinner. Yum! We all got balloons and party hats. I got to open my presents before the dinner came! I got so much cool stuff!
Then the workers at Red Robin brought me this ice cream sundae and they all sang a Happy Birthday song to me. Mom gave everyone else a cupcake to eat.
After dinner, Mom took everyone home. Here we are in the car. That was a really fun birthday!

Swimming Lessons

I had two weeks of swimming lessons this summer. This is me on the first day. They made me swim a lot with my face in the water. I didn't like it. It was too hard to hold my breath and swim at the same time. They also wanted us to jump off the diving board, but they let me jump off the side.

By the 2nd lesson, I was able to swim with my face in the water. I also jumped off the diving board.  I loved it so much that Mom let us go to the pool at the park after the lesson was over. Now I can swim with my face in the water and swim on my back!

While we waited for our turn, we had to stand in line. Reagan and I hugged each other to keep ourselves warm. The swimming teachers thought it was so cute.

I even learned how to dive off the diving board. I dove off and swam to the other end of the pool.

The last day of lessons  was on my birthday. Everyone sang "happy birthday" to me and mom gave everyone a cupcake. I love my birthday!

Cinnamon

When we were gone, Dad bought a snake. We named her Cinnamon Roll because she looks like a cinnamon roll when she's all curled up. Mom didn't want to get a snake, but Reagan and I did. So we out voted Mom. Gwyn even likes her too.

I love to hold Cinnamon. It's so much fun and she's so cute! I like the way she feels when she crawls all over me. She tries to crawl in my shirt all the time!

Sail boating

When I was at Grandma's, Uncle Cory and Aunt Danielle took me out on a sail boat. I was a little scared. See how tight I'm holding on? But I still had fun. Thanks Uncle Cory and Aunt Danielle!

So, I sew!

Mom helped me sew an apron. It was fun and not too hard. She even let me put a pocket on it. I can't wait to cook something so that I can wear it.

A week with my Grandmas

Reagan and I got to go back to Tacoma with Grandma and Grandpa Shumate. The morning we left, I woke up with a high fever and even threw up. Mom gave Grandma medicine for my fever and I took car sick medicine before we left. I slept most of the way there. Since I still had a fever when we got there, I didn't get to see my cousins on the first day. But the next day, my fever was almost gone, so I got to go to the pool with Tanner, Anson, Ella, Aunt Dacia, Aunt Jaqui, and Uncle Travis. I love playing with my cousins! We got to go back to the pool a couple of days later, and one day we went to the park.

Uncle Travis taught me how to float on my back. Look! I'm doing it!!

I also went to my Grandma Marini's house and got to swimming in the lake with my other cousins, Alec and Zachary. We also went to see Kung Fu Panda and got to go to Shari's for dinner.  Another day we went back to the lake, then we had a BBQ at Grandma Marini's with Uncle Joe and Aunt Ember and my cousins. We did a water balloon toss game.  Then on Sunday we went to church with my Grandma Marini.

Grandma Marini took us back to Grandma Shumate's house after church.

On Monday, we played at Tanner and Anson's house. Then it was time to go home. This is a picture of us at the airport. I never been on a plane before! I was so excited!
My favorite part was when the plane started to lift off of the ground! That was so fun! I got a little scared when we were up in the air and the plane turned. It felt like the plane was falling. But then I was OK after that.
Dad picked us up at the Spokane Airport. I hadn't seen him in a week! I was so excited to see him because I really missed him.
Dad surprised us when we got home. He cleaned up our room, made our beds, and Reagan and I got new shelves, a new reading lamp, and a new multi-colored pen. What a nice surprise. I love my dad!

Fourth of July

On the fourth of July, I played in the back yard with my family while Grandpa Shumate and Dad finished building our swing set. I am so excited that it's done! Now I can swing anytime I want! Thank you Grandpa and Dad!!

Silverwood!

Last year we went to Silverwood on my birthday, and my Grandma Marini came with us. This year we went on July 3rd and my Grandma and Grandpa Shumate came with us. It was so much fun. Here are some of the rides we went on.
I got to help Gwyn on this ride.

After some rides we saw an illusion show. Then we had some ice cream and went over to Boulder Beach. I went down some slides with my dad and went around the lazy river and in the wave pool with my dad and my grandpa. The wave pool was my favorite!

We always go on the train ride at the end of the day. The carousel is the last ride before leaving. I love Silverwood!

Splash Down!

I went to Splash Down for the first time. My Uncle Joe, Aunt Ember, and my cousins Alec, Zachary, and Bryce were there too. I had fun on the big slides until I got water up my nose. I also went on the big innertube ride with my Aunt Ember but that was too dark and too scary. I liked the kid slide area a lot. I saw my friend Gabe there.  We had to leave early because there was a lightning storm. Then we went to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Yum!
